Grove Ecosystem let’s you grow fresh food in your home. It is designed by engineers from MIT, and it uses aquaponics, a symbiosis between beneficial bacteria, fish, and plants. This makes the plants grow and also helps to keep the aquarium clean.

Grove also uses an app and smart LED-light. Depending in what you grow, the lights will adjust to make sure your plants are health and get enough “sun light”.

The Grove Ecosystem is now up on Kickstarter, and with more than 30 days of funding left, it has raised more than twice its original goal. The ecosystem will only be shipped within the U.S., expect the $10 000 tier. Grove says they hope to be able to sell the product on an international market in a few years.
