Here is the first pictures of Lexus Hoverboard in action. The American car company has been teasing us with short trailers of their newest invention, and now they’ve shown us what it really can do.

As expected, it doesn’t work everywhere, you’ll need a metal surface for it to hover. It uses superconductors and magnets to levitate, and the steam coming out of it is liquid nitrogen, cooling the superconductors to the temperature they need to superconduct.

Lexus also put to together a short documentary on how the Hoverboard was created.
