Adobe has described how sound can be analyzed and translated into text. The company annually shows new and updated products. This year very interesting new feature was presented and described as “Photoshop for audio”.

Voco is an abbreviation of “voice conversation” and is an audio editor that can analyze audio tracks and convert spoken language into text. The user may edit the read text and then convert Voco changes to the audio track. In other words, recorded speech can be edited. If Voco takes the step from technology demonstration to product it will likely be as a component in the audio editing software, Adobe Audition.
