The Nabi Car Seat Clip is making sure parents don’t forget their baby in the car

Intel and Nabi has joined forces to create a smart clip for children’s car seats that alerts you if you leave your kid in the car. It’s connected to a smartphone app via Bluetooth, and if you get to far from the car without unclipping the belt you’ll get a notification. It won’t stop ringing until you’re back with your baby.

Nabi’s Smart Clip uses a temperature sensor and detects movement. That way it knows if a child is left behind. It runs on a coin-cell battery, and you can use the app to see how much power is left. The battery is supposed to last for several months.

According to Cnet, the car seat clip will go on sale sometime in December, and it won’t cost you more than $50.
